One or more of our stores occasionally shows shipping statuses of "Delivery failed." If you click on the tracking numbers and follow the link through to the delivery service's Web site (e.g. FedEx, USPS) the shipment could be in any fulfillment state, but not necessarily a failed state.
We are hoping to get some clarification from the community:
Same thing keeps happening for me.. since mid 2023. After updating the tracking link from others to USPS. it randomly shows "delivery failed" when the actual tracking link shows correct status - in transit, out for delivery and etc. I have to literally cancel each fulfillment and re-added the tracking number, it shows correctly but that would change the order fulfillment date in the order. It looks like this error is mainly happening with USPS but after shopify update their admin look and features in 2023.
Shopify was contacted for this error and they asked me to contact USPS to investigate. How? the tracking on USPS site is correct. I just could not believe shopify asked me to contact USPS to fix this (for them?)..
