Shopify admin dashboard page displaying offscreen overflow in google chrome

Hi, when I login to Shopify admin/dashboard using google chrome the display of the tables is weird.

Tables/columns with data aren't responsive and they are not resizing as it should. It cuts of the right end of the table header data, by flowing/ displaying offscreen when in desktop view (no scroll bar is even present to adjust it).  If I reduce the size of the window the side panel disappears (as it should) and then the table displays correctly.

This is an even bigger issue when trying to delete content files. Here is another example screenshots: 

The delete button is in the far right of the table header is offscreen and not visible. 

 I have to resize the window for the side panel to disappear and then able to see the full table. 

 

I have signed out / then back into shopify 

cleared history and cache 

And no luck 

In incognito mode of google chrome it displays correctly. 

Any ideas if this is a simple fix in normal mode?

or do I have to just use incognito mode indefinitely.

Shopify should fix it. You should not pay an expert to fix some bug in their code.

Following one of our macs is ok. Mine is not... thankfully we have one mac operational. I can't add a new customer, which would have been very problematic.

Same issue here. Seems to still work okay in Safari, but both macs using Chrome now have this issue (originally only 1 did, but this morning both have suffered the same fate!)

I have the same issue. I contacted support, and they said they would look into it. However, I asked to keep the conversation open so I could get updates, and they closed it. I opened it again today, but I wonder if anyone has any updates.

I'm having the same issue on Chrome and it drives me nuts! It's completely slowing my workflow!

I've just reported via Partner Support as well - I thought it must have been something on my end, so I'm glad I found this thread. They've assured me they're investigating, so fingers crossed!

I am also experiencing the same issue and it's so annoying! As a workaround I am using the Chrome mobile emulator which resizes the dashboard to mobile view but it's such a pain.

I was having the same issue on my Mac and have finally resolved it! This is how I did it:

1. Reset Chrome using this link: chrome://settings/reset (warning you will obviously lose profile settings & will be logged out of accounts etc.)
2. Sign back into my Chrome profile
3. Logged back into Shopify

That's it, it's back to normal! It's slightly annoying having to log back into all of my account etc, but this issue was worse IMO.

Hi everyone. I was saddened to see lots of other people experiencing this issue, but I think I have pinpointed the culprit.

I had the Item logo image for Shopify Theme File Search by EZFY app installed in my Chrome browser (which is a wonderful app that has been so helpful over the years).  I have now deleted that app and now can see all my Shopify windows load nicely again. 

I hope that might help someone else out there too!

Oh, good shout! I also have that same app installed so could very well have been the culprit. 

Have you found one to use instead?

Same here. Turned it off and works great now. How unfortunate. Such a useful app. I'll just switch it on when needed I guess.

Thanks for the useful insight. This also naturally affects Edge (chromium). Seams that the issue was  already being reported since June and the Chrome Web Store already has an ominous warning "This extension may soon no longer be supported because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions."

So, time to delete. Not all things that are free are valuable...

Absolutely right! Shopify Theme File Search by EZFY extension is causing Shopify dashboard admin panels to cut across the screens and become unresponsive. As soon as I removed the extension from Chrome and refreshed the page, the display error got resolved automatically. Thanks for getting to the source of this issue!
