Shopify Email Notifications Automations & Emails

The purpose of our website is to sell custom skateboards. We are taking care of the skateboard and adding the design to it. We are using an app for this and have that part figured out and as well with the shipping! We have a different section on our website called “brands & friends”. This is for artists that would like to sell skateboards with their designs on it. They sign up and provide us with their bio, info, and art. We make a page for them and people can buy a board with the artist's design on it.

The part that I need help with is setting it so when a customer buys a skateboard that has a piece of art from an artist. We would like for the artist to be notified of that order. That someone just bought a skateboard with their design on it. We want it to be transparent for the artist that they are selling their art and people are buying it. We never want the artists to see any other orders being made on other products besides theirs and theirs only. This transparency is very important.

Should be able to build out an automation workflow to help you with this. Where are you currently storing the artist email address?

That is the thing. We don't have anything yet to store them. We are trying
to figure out the correct system to do this. Whether that be Shopify's
store setting notifications, a plugin or some other method.

Might make sense to do that as a metafield on the product or maybe a metaobject.
