Hey, there. Somehow the shopping sites that I visit are showing code at the top of the page. The code is also messing with location sharing and slowing down the pages so much that the error pops up, "The page is not responding. Wait? Exit?" It also happens in Edge AND Firefox.
I need to get this off of my machine-- but how?

There's a lot of references to BOOMR in that code snippet. Do you have an app/extension with this name?
Hi there, @judahtravis. Thank you for taking the time to reach out to the Shopify Community Forums with this situation and screenshot! My name is Imogen. It's good to meet you!
My first thought here is that this may be related to an extension you may be using in your browser. If possible, are you able to provide us here with an example of one of the sites you've visited where you experienced this? We'd love to see if we're able to replicate.
You mentioned that this error appears for you when using different browsers, specifically Chrome and Edge. Does this issue persist when using an incognito window, or private viewing window, on these browsers? Are you also able to replicate this issue when visiting these sites from different device, i.e a mobile phone?

A pleasure to meet you too, Imogen.
Sure thing. You can see it demonstrated in the screenshot on Bluefly.com. Another site where the code does show up is on popshady.com. However, the code does not show up on bananarepublic.com, nordstrom.com, chanel.com, or amazon.com. The code does appear on incognito pages in Chrome and Edge. It does not appear on mobile pages in Chrome.
I previously removed all extensions to see if that would overcome the issue. It didsn't so I re-added the following.
Thanks for that additional context, @judahtravis! I did take a peek at bluefly.com and wasn't able to replicate the code being visible, so this appears to be a local issue with your device or these specific browsers on your specific device. I can't guarantee that the websites you mentioned (especially amazon.com) are hosted on Shopify, so this may not be a Shopify specific issue, and really does sound like it could be device specific, especially considering the fact that on mobile you're not able to replicate the issue within Chrome.
A quick suggestion here would be to un-install and re-install these browsers on the problem device, and then see if the issue persists from there. Have you attempted this troubleshooting step yet? I did some additional checking online and found a few other threads here related to the issue and one such thread (here's a link) mentioned that they found that a specific app that had been recently downloaded to their device seemed to be the cause. Can you recall if you installed any applications recently that may match up with when you first noticed this code appearing on these websites?
I do want to set an expectation here that this troubleshooting is in relation to the issue being local to your device and could be related to your device's software, and not Shopify specifically. As such, my scope of support may be limited in helping you identify the particular cause, but I'll do what I can to assist!

@JayAdra , your comment sparked a link of attack that has yielded success. I uninstalled any app that was web driver related, and now the code is gone! Poof! THANK YOU!
So, for documentation, confirming that this was not a Shopify-related issue. Thanks everyone for your help.
