Shopify Them Dev Server Extremely Slow

After running shopify theme dev --theme-editor-sync in my VS Code terminal, the command goes through fine, asks for me to log in etc and then proceeds to sync the theme. It gives me all the correct links etc but when I load the local preview link (127.0.0.1:9292), it loads VERY slowly. It is also very slow to update when changes are made to my local instance. Even navigating within the local server version is slow. I've checked any it seems everything is up to date so Im not sure its that.

Any ideas?
