Shopify using the wrong ISO code for a province in my country

Shopify is using the wrong ISO code for a province in my country on webhook payloads.

Does anyone know who I can contact about this issue? The ISO code was changed in 2020. I have logged it with support but nothing seems to be happening.

Specifically, Shopify currently uses "NL" for the webhook payload province code for KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa, when it should be "KZN".

Anybody know how to escalate this to their dev team?

1. Reply to your existing support ticket and ask for an update. If possible, request it to be escalated to their technical team.
2. Post in the Shopify Community Forums under the API/Webhooks section—sometimes Shopify staff or experienced developers can help push issues forward.
3. Reach out via Shopify’s Partner Support (if you're a Shopify Partner) as they might have better access to technical teams.
4. Tweet @ShopifyDevs on X (Twitter)—they’re responsive to developer-related issues.
5. Submit a report via Shopify’s Bug Bounty or API issue tracker (if available).

It’s frustrating when these changes aren’t updated, but persistence is key! Hope this helps.
