Shopify visitors dropped suddenly - not showing visitors

Hi all,

There is a problem with my Shopify data analysis. Suddenly customer levels dropped last Thursday, while I am still running Meta adds, so this is very weird. I checked online to see if others have the same problems, and found similar issues; people said something about adding a code in the theme liquid? I dont know anything about that. Can someone help me with this issue? I am using theme: Dawn. 
I really want to get the right data again!

Hos meg også mener jeg det er noe som ikke stemmer. Butikken min har litt spesialiserte produkter og har ikke hundrevis og tusenvis av besøkende. Men hatt 20-50, gjennomsnittlig 25 pr dag. plutselig 0-2.

Kan det være noe nytt tull fra Google også? Bruker merchant center, og det har kommet noen forandringer siste tiden.

Hi Anta,

Yes! Apparently there is a change in cookie laws, so If you dont have the right cookie banner, shopify will not measure your customers anymore. So, in Shopify go to Online store menu -> preferences -> customer privacy. If its the same problem as I had, then you see a blue bar which says 'Install a privacy and compliance app to collect customer consent'.
Then you just go to the shopify app store to install a good one, I installed 'Consentmo GDPR'; which allows you to choose the right consent form for your store location (for me its europe).
After that everything worked again!! Hopefully your problem will be solved after this, haha it took me longgggg time  to find this out with customer service.
