Shopping cart error - no delivery available

I tried to do a test order this morning and got this message:IMG_0256.jpeg “Your order cannot be shipped to the selected address. Review your address to ensure it’s correct and try again, or select a different address”.

Seems to be an half my products. Is it my store, the product or the drop shippers that is the problem?

thanks in advance

Hi there,

Thanks so much for reaching out about this.

This error message can be related to a number of settings that may be missing or incorrect. It sounds as though your products are being dropshipped, is that correct?

We have a variety of shipping strategies for dropshipping. Can you let me know which route you followed when you created your shipping rates and zones? Also, please let me know how you imported the product information to your Shopify store and whether you have more than one dropshipping supplier. This context will help me narrow down the issue at hand.

In the meantime, I encourage you to verify that all your product settings have the “This product requires shipping” box checked.

Following this, you can cross reference your products with their related shipping profile to ensure they are all linked to the appropriate place. It is possible that a single product from your test order belongs to an incorrect profile that is affecting the system's ability to calculate the rate for your entire order.

If you continue to encounter the error message and all the settings appear in order, please reply to this thread and I will be glad to help you.

Should you require real-time assistance, you are welcome to chat with one of our Support Advisors. They will be able to take a look at the backend of your store and verify the settings in detail with you.

Cheers!

Hi holly,

To confirm,

  • yes, I am dropshipping these products
  • I used shipping and delivery tab under Shopify settings
  • all products were imported from CJ dropshipping

I could understand if it was one product that had an error but it is around half my inventory.  I will be able to double check this evening when I am back at my desktop.

In the meantime, thanks for your help.

jon

I can also confirm the “product requires shipping” box is ticked for all products.

Thanks for confirming. We will have to take a look at your shipping settings. Can you tell me how you set things up in the Shopify Shipping settings? As mentioned, you can take a look at our help doc here on the various shipping strategies for dropshipping.

You'll want to make sure that you don't have any calculated rates set up in your settings as that will automatically pull information for a default package. Without a proper default package, a generic error message will appear as the one in your screenshot.

After ensuring that your settings are set to flat rates and not calculated rates, you'll want to make sure that all your products are within a profile that aligns with the strategy you have in place for dropshipping and that they cover all shipping zones (ex: your country and "rest of world"). If everything looks good on that front, try a test order to see if the rates appear.

If they do not, I recommend contacting our Shopify Support Advisors so they may take a look at your settings in detail.
