Site not loading properly on Chromebook/Chrome OS and certain devices

Hi Shopify community,

I'm experiencing a weird issue that I'd be grateful for some help with.

My website is www.selectsaunas.com

Recently, I've been trying to get approved with Google Merchant Center, but keep getting suspended because I'm supposedly not showing enough contact info (link to contact page, address, phone number, email...). I've added this absolutely everywhere – footer, header, on the home page, product pages, etc. but still no luck.

The Issue

Now, recently I visited my site on a Chromebook, and the site looked absolutely catastrophic apart from the hero image and header on the home page. Most importantly, the footer doesn't show, which is essential for GMC approval. See this screen recording of the site on a Chromebook:

I'm guessing Google's machine reading detects this issue, which is why they keep my GMC account suspended. It is essential that I figure this out because otherwise, I can't advertise on Google. I'm almost certain it isn't any other issue regarding misrepresentation by the way – we're a legit site, authorized to retail all the brands we display.

I contacted someone that said he could fix this Misrepresentation issue on GMC. When sending the link to my site, he mentioned that he cannot see any footer. Please visit my site and tell, does it look normal? If not, what device/OS/browser are you using? Question

Does anyone know what might be causing my site to load weirdly on certain devices or browsers? Could this be a simple fix in the code? Maybe some lines cause the footer and important scripts not to load? Theme used is Shoptimized 6.23. Same issue on my other Shoptimized site.

Would be incredibly grateful for some light on this.

No business seems to exists when searching your address. Make sure you have verified and claimed a Google business profile.

I also recommend first to target Sweden, ie your home country, not a foreign country.

Make sure you localize your currency and language.

Having the exact same problem on my site. Problem ONLY exists with Chromebook. The no footer issue also appears to be the reason for my suspended Google Merchant Account.

I’ve verified my site looks fine on multiple browsers on Mac and Windows and multiple browsers on iOS and Android for the mobile version of the site.

Contacted Google Merchant Center support and going back and forth I had said all the stuff they were asking for was in the footer and they said “there is no footer”. So, yes, GMC is reading this problem and suspending the account as a result.

I’m using Shoptimized theme v6.2.1

I checked OP site as requested, looks good to me on iOS, seeing footer and everything.

I have reached out to Shoptimized support also but no response yet. Any ideas here would be greatly appreciated.

The tech support folks at Shoptimized looked into this and fixed it with v6.2.4 latest. Get your theme updated to this version and the issues on Chromebook and with Google Merchant Center should be resolved.
