Sitemap pages do not exist on backend

Hi,

I am supporting a friend with their new site and discovered that none of their pages are indexed on google. I took their xml sitemap and added it to search console a number of weeks ago but the issue still persists and on search console url inspection google cannot find any of the urls.

My friend built the site with little knowledge themselves and when I look under the pages section in online store there are no sitemap pages listed. 

Is there a way for me to get these generated automatically or manually? Any help much appreciated

Hi,

The site map pages that are normally found in the pages section do not exist. I have the xml site map link but search console isn't seeing any of the urls from the site so I think it's related to the site map pages not being there.

I've worked on other shopify sites and under the pages section there are always sitemap pages.

Do you have any advice on how to create these pages?
