Slideshow overlapping mobile image over desktop image

On desktop in a slideshow, the 2nd and 3rd slides are overlapping their respective mobile and desktop images with each other. My first slide is working perfectly fine - it's automatically choosing the correct separate images I have selected (one for mobile, one for desktop) and not overlapping. But the 2nd and 3rd slides are not doing the same as the first slides.

It is most evident on the 2nd slide. File formats are JPG if that matters. I've attached a screenshot of it. Theme used is Dawn.

Edit: I have found a temporary work around, but it's not what I want so linking will be irrelevant. I'll leave the screenshot here so you can see what it was doing.
