I have been only going a few weeks with no sales yet despite numerous social media postings so wondering if these 2 issues may be affecting the slow start:
1 Shopify tells me that my speed is at 43% and says it is slower than other stores. I have uninstalled unwanted/unused apps and deleted one image banner. I am not sure if this is a problem at all but would appreciate advice.
2 I check regularly google search console and while they report a number of unindexed pages with non canonical (?) issues when I look for help on that it says these aren’t an issue. However there are some that say robot.txt is blocking indexing and once again on google help it says this “may” not be an issue but then suggests to remove them. Appreciate help on this.
when i search for how long it takes to get a ranking on google i find it says 3-6 months. Is this correct?

for pages tagged 'alternate page with proper canonical tag', actually you don't have to do anything, either.

i have no idea how that stupid giraffe image was attached !
For question 2, about robots.txt, would you please paste the content of your robots.txt here?
or did you use any Disallow directives in your robots.txt, since the default behavior of robots.txt is not blocking any bot from access
Is this what you mean? I haven’t done anything just saw this on google search console and then it shows all the URL’s affected
would you please share the url of your store?
The robots.txt is located at /robots.txt and yours is mostly a default Shopify generated one.
The default Shopify robots.txt does not allow all urls, it blocks function pages like /cart, /admin, /checkout ..., and it also blocks some urls containing special characters like '+'. But for SEO and indexing, it actually does not matter since the pages disallowed are actually content pages. No need to worry about that.
That’s great! Thank you so much. What about these other errors - do I need to do anything about these?

Thank you so much for this help. It concerned me when I saw all these non-indexing issues. You have been most helpful and I am very appreciative.
Thank you so much for this guidance - I was really concerned when I saw so many non-indexing issues and wasn't sure how to fix them. Am I able to remove them now?
Sure, please feel free to remove them
speed is not the issue for no sales.
