When you add your custom domain, a new SSL certificate is automatically created. This process can take up to 48 hours but it sounds like it's been longer which tells us there are likely some settings that aren't quite correct.
To resolve the security error, make sure that your domain record settings are configured correctly.

Generally speaking, for SSL issues once you are sure you have the domain set up correctly and have waited for a 48 hour period then this usually resolves the issue. For future reference, the correct DNS settings to be applied are:
1. Point the A record to the Shopify IP address 184.108.40.206.
2. If necessary, change theHostname to the@symbol.
3. Delete any other A records on the domain if there are any present.
4. Point theCNAMErecord with the namewwwtoshops.myshopify.com.
Once all of these are correct, and you have served the waiting period of up to 48 hours then the domain should then work well for you. Where are you at the moment with your store set up?
