Take sqaure photos on the i0s app?

I use the Shopify i0s app to take photos of my items. It used to take them as a square with a grid guide, but now they are all rectangular. Does anyone know how I get it back to the square? As a guide, I have over 2,500 products in the store, and I am waiting to add another 120 (8 photos of each). Cropping or manually uploading them isn't an option with the time it would take.

I appreciate the information that you have shared with us as that is very helpful! Could you attempt to use Shopify Magic media generation to see if you are able to create the square product images? Shopify Magic in the image editor is available for all Shopify plans at no additional cost.
