Testament Theme - Slide Show Captions Disappearing

Having a problem with the slide show on my home page. My captions are disappearing when i reorder my slides. I'm using the Testament Theme

I'm trying to add a new Black Friday slide and have it start the slide show. I can get the new image in and my captions all stay on the original slides but when I reorder them and try to move my new image to be first in the slide show. My captions disappear on the other slides. The fields all still have the text in them and link still show as being present but visually they aren't present. HELP!

So after some trial and error, it turns out that the first slide somehow controls what can be shown on the rest of the slides. I simply added a button to link through to all products and it restored all the others captions and buttons. Not really a solution as much as a quirk.
