Hi guys, I have the following message after scanning for SEO issues via my Shopify admin site. I was wondering if you know how I could handle this. I have a custom domain for my shopify site and just by reading the following message, something somewhere still references the www part of my domain. From what I've read, this does not massively affect my SEO. I'd just like to get rid of the error. Btw, I use the SEO:Image Optimizer Page Speed app by Avada to help me out with SEO issues. Thanks in advance.
The www and non-www versions of your URL are not redirected to the same site.
Bonjour,
J'ai la même demande et aimerais avoir une solution également.
Merci
Hi @lapinbleu007 ,
Resolving the issue where the www and non-www versions of your URL don't redirect to the same site involves setting up a preferred domain redirection in your Shopify admin. You can do this by going to your Shopify admin, then to "Online Store" > "Domains", and set your primary domain. Ensure you check the option to redirect all traffic to this domain. This helps maintain consistency for your site's URL structure and is good for SEO as it avoids content duplication.
In addition, while your current app assists with SEO, consider exploring SEOPro, a Shopify app designed to further enhance your site's SEO. SEOPro can audit your Shopify products and collections for SEO issues, offer bulk optimization tools, and provide recommendations to improve your SEO score.
