I've noticed in GSC that both of my Shopify sites have lots of pages with long parameters after the URL. I thought it may be the theme but they're on different themes. They're showing them as canonicals, which is correct, but they're clearly taking up a ton of my crawl budget for both sites.
Here's an example: https://wallpanels.com.au/products/calacatta-marble-wet-wall-panel?pr_prod_strat=use_description&pr_...
What are these links? Why are they there? How do I get rid of them?
If they are showing in different themes I would say that you are using an app that is doind so.
Maybe try to upload your theme to a new development store. I bet that there you won't see any parameters.
Nope! It's not a plugin either. They don't share any plugins.
Please check your GSC for any of your sites to see if the same thing is happening.
You are right, they are product recommendations params.
