I'm trying to verify my shop, but it won't send a code because I've tried too many times. It says "You have attempted too many confirmation codes recently. Please wait and try again later" and it's been 3 days now. Anyone know how to get around it or solve it?
Hello NE-SewShop.
That message usually appears when too many verification attempts have been made in a short time but three days is definitely longer than normal. To fix this, I will suggest you try clearing your browser cache or switching to a different browser or device. You can also attempt the verification through the Shopify mobile app, which sometimes works better in these cases. If it still doesn’t work, the best solution is to reach Shopify Support directly, they can manually reset the verification limit on your account.
@NE-SewShop I encounter the same situation also on my end randomly. This is mostly due to the multiple times of accessing in a short time on your end and you need to clear browser cache, relaunch browser and operate again slowly until you can access correctly.
Since you cannot visit too frequently, you can also choose to change into another browser and try again, as sometimes it is due to the browser issue also.
