Trigger call to launch Shopify POS app when checkout button is pressed?

Hi, 

We are building an embedded app for Shopify POS via the App Bridge. Is there a way to have our app automatically launch when the associate presses "checkout," rather than having the associate manually press our app button, have the customer interact with our app, and then press checkout?
