We have two distinct sets of products stored at two separate locations.
If we receive an order for a product from Location B, we take that product from Location B to Location A and ship it.
If we receive an order for a product from Location A, we ship it from Location A.
If we receive an order for products from Locations A and B, we take the product from Location B to Location A, combine it with the product from Location A and ship them both together.
At Location B, we'd like to be able to print only the invoices that have product at Location B, but easily filter out invoices that only have product from Location A.
Also, we have local pickups at Location A.
Hello dgase,
I understand your situation with managing products across two locations. You might find Shopify's Smart Order Routing feature helpful. This feature automatically routes orders based on various criteria, such as inventory levels and shipping locations, which can streamline your fulfillment process.
With Smart Order Routing, when an order comes in, the system can intelligently determine the best location to fulfill the order from, ensuring faster deliveries and potentially reducing shipping costs. This could address your needs for shipping from either Location A or B efficiently.
For more details, you can check out this Shopify blog post on Smart Order Routing.
