Several files appear to be stuck on our CDN with no way to remove them.
Other people seem to have had this issue to, and the resolution is not clear:
https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-discussions/deleting-images-from-shopify-cdn/td-p/398345
"sometimes images can become stuck in the Content Delivery Network.
In order to remove them completely, we must do this on our end"
They do not appear in the admin Files UI, from a graph Files API query, or in a matrixify export of all files. If a new file is uploaded with the same name, the filename is appended as though the filename already exists on the cdn. These files contains incorrect information for our products and we need method to remove them from publication. I have been in discussion with shopify support for several weeks but they have been unable to help and asked me to contact shopify developers through this community forum.
Example Filepath:
https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0252/6815/8546/files/info-cleo-sconce-is17791_p.pdf
I have identified about 90 files that are in this same state.
I know that I can change the filenames or post the assets on a different server, bit I am concerned that shopify is publishing content for our store that we do not want published anymore. Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks.
A much delayed followup - I did have to go through multiple levels of support for a few weeks until I finally was able to get connected to someone on the engineering team who confirmed the issue and was able manually deleted these files on their back end CDN interface. The issue was that the reference to the files had been deleted but not the file itself so there was no way to delete these files through the admin or api.
