Unable to save Meta pixel code in Customer Events custom pixel - two red dots beside first two lines

When I'm pasting the code copied directly from Meta into the custom pixel window within Customer Events, it is showing two red dots beside the first two lines of code.  I have been troubleshooting for hours and have tried every suggested solution I could find, but nothing seems to fix it. Please help!?!
