Unique subscribe page that lands on a specific page with a download

I'm trying to set up a 2-step process. I'm giving prospective new customers a free download if they give me their email.

customers land on the first page. They enter their email and click "submit" and it takes them to a new page with a download link.

The download page works fine. but If I simply place the regular email block on the landing page, it does subscribe them, but I don't know how to jump to the download page. I only get the success page. And I only want it to jump to the download page IF they subscribe from this page.

If I add the contact form, I can make it jump, but it doesn't add them to the customer list.

Any help or suggestions? I was using sense, but thinking about switching to Craft, so I'm using craft for this test, because Sense kept putting the captcha even when I turned it off.
