Just as customer's on the front end can use Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc to login to Shopify. Is there some Shopify tutorial or api somewhere, where customers can login to Shopify and I can use that login to authenticate access to my separate (non-Shopify store) websites?
E.g. a user goes to my site: abcsomething.com and clicks Login, which opens a social login and the user can select Shopify, then they securely login to Shopify, and I get a token back that they've authenticated successfully and can log them into abcsomething.com.
No way to do this at this time. Shopify does not pass on its Customer data this way. You can login to Shopify accounts from outside, but not outside from shopify.
Hi, I was wondering if this is still the case in 2023
As far as I know. We keep requesting this feature, but nothing yet.
Like @Misfit_Code_Dev said, even with Multipass on a plus plan , shopify is really an innie and not an outtie in a way oauth needs out of the box.
Gonna add this to my shopify unite bingo card.

I thought as much, however Auth0, makes it sound like they have a way to allow users on an app to login to Shopify. There are not much details, so I guess they are just referring to a typical Oauth login, which would be a Shopify store owner login situation.
