Variant group/name shows on Product page, Cart page, but not Checkout page

Hello. I sell eggs, and rather than bundling them, I use a Variant called "Number of eggs" to describe the different quantities people can buy (12, 18, 24 etc). 

The issue I have is that, whilst the selected Variant value (eg 12, 18, 24 etc) shows on both the Cart and Checkout page, the "Number of eggs" description of that variant shows on the Cart page but not on the Checkout page. How do I show this detail on the Checkout page?
