Hey Guys,
I'm selling illustrations on my shopify store.
I want to offer Digital illustrations and prints either on poster or canvas. The prints will be available in 4 dimensions.
I've tried to set up variants to allow the customer to choose firstly the Format (Digital/Poster/Canvas) and then the Size. Since the option can't be empty I have chosen size "Digital" which is intended for the digital version only and 4 sizes for the prints (20x30/30x40/40x60/60x80).
I'm not sure why, but on the product page only the digital/digital version is available. I can't select any of the prints (as shown in the screenshot below).
Is there anything I'm doing wrong?
This is how the backend looks like:
Would highly appreciate any help.
Cheers, Dennis
Are the variants available for purchase (either not tracking quantity or has quantity greater than 0)?
Yes, no quantity is tracked.
If i delete Digital/digital it works fine for teh remaining variants. If i add the variant digital/digital again, i can only select that one
Ok, I see what's happening I think. You cannot select any other options because both are set to Digital and you can't get Digital in any other size than "Digital", and you can't get the "Digital" size in any other art form than "Digital", so you're stuck. Maybe try modifying the theme so it doesn't do this option validation for this kind of product.
That's exactly how it is. Yes, I'm stuck haha.
What do you mean by modifying the theme? How would that work?
Thanks alot
It would involve modifying the code of the theme.
