Want to link from product description to a featured collection on my homepage

I have a Featured Collection towards the bottom of my landing page. 
I want to add a link to the description of one of my product pages that jumps to this Featured Collection. 
The Theme I am using is called"Fresh" 

This is what the title of featured collection looks like in the code:

<h2 class="title h1">Give a Gift</h2>

I believe that I want to add id="give-a-gift" to the Featured Collection on my landing page

and then link the text to https://mywebsite.myshopify.com/#give-a-gift 
(the app has a tool for adding the link)

I've already spent two hours poking around, watching youtube and asking shopify help, to no avail. 

Any assistance would be appreciated.
