Liquid, JavaScript, themes, sales channels
I’m trying to customize my website on my MacBook and I get a message saying “ Enable third party cookies on Shopify for the best experience” and there’s a link but it says page not found.
Hi, @Clsx.
Thanks for posting to the Shopify Community.
The error message you're receiving in the theme editor indicates that your web browser's third-party cookie settings are preventing Shopify from setting cookies. Enabling third-party cookies on Shopify means allowing cookies from external websites or services to be stored and accessed by your store.
Could you share what browser you're using? If you're using Google Chrome, I'll share the steps below on how to enable third-party cookies in your web browser settings.
How to enable third-party cookies on Google Chrome:
If you're using a different browser, I'll share the resources on how to enable third-party cookies on Safari and Firefox browsers.
After trying the above steps, I recommend reopening your Shopify store and navigating to your theme editor to continue editing. For additional troubleshooting, try clearing your cache and cookies or opening your store in an incognito window.
I hope this helps!

Yes, isn’t it bad if I uncheck “cross site tracking? I just don’t want to take risk if it’s not ok.
Thanks for your reply, @Clsx.
From the instructions, you'll only need to deselect Block all third-party cookies.

Hello @Clsx
Open Safari on your MacBook.
Click on "Safari" in the top menu bar and select "Preferences" from the drop-down menu.
In the Preferences window, navigate to the "Privacy" tab.
Under the "Cookies and website data" section, make sure the option "Prevent cross-site tracking" is unchecked.
Next, click on the "Manage Website Data" button.
In the search field, type "Shopify" to find the specific cookies related to Shopify.
Select any Shopify-related entries and click on the "Remove" button to delete them.
Close the "Manage Website Data" window and return to the Preferences window.
Refresh the page or restart Safari for the changes to take effect.
