Hi, @emmalani.
To confirm, can you still access your Shopify admin? If so, seeing as your domain is hosted by GoDaddy, you'll be able to connect your domain automatically via Settings > Domain, as mentioned in this help guide.
If for whatever reason you're not seeing the option to connect automatically, you can also opt to connect your domain manually by inputting the necessary records on your domain's DNS settings within GoDaddy. The instructions and required records are available in this document — if you're not sure how to update your domain's DNS settings, you can contact the GoDaddy support team for assistance, as they're best equipped to help you with setting up your domain on their platform.
For further context though, I checked your domain on a third-party domain checker website called who.is and found that your DNS records aren't quite pointing to Shopify. As you can see here, currently your A records are pointing to 34.102.136.180
, which isn't one of Shopify's IP addresses. You'll need to update your A record so that it points towards a Shopify IP address, and as mentioned in the document I previously linked, the correct one is 23.227.38.65
. The CNAME on file will also need updating — it currently has emmalanihawaiianquilts.com
on record, but it instead needs to be pointed to shops.myshopify.com
. If you have the option to connect the domain automatically via the Shopify admin, the system can automatically help you update these records for your domain.
Once you've made the necessary changes to your domain's DNS settings, you'll need to wait for up to 48 hours in order for the new records to fully propagate across the web. From there, if you're still having issues with your domain, you can contact our live support team to begin with for us to initially help troubleshoot your domain. Just a heads up though that because your domain is hosted outside of Shopify, we won't be able to access your domain's settings and records from our end. So if any further changes to your records are required to be completed, and you need a lending hand with completing this, you can contact GoDaddy so that they can support you with the process.
