What happens to recurring Subscription Contracts from Shopify Payments after switching to Stripe?

Hi, I'm referencing this article from 2022 (a long time ago) to see how we might be able to migrate our Shopify Pay subscriptions over to Stripe. According to the article, no maintenance is required and since we've changed our payment provider from Shopify Pay -> Stripe, the existing subscriptions prior to the change will be billed through Stripe when the next cycle approaches. 

Is this a correct assumption?

If not, is there a way to migrate the data from Shopify Payments account over to Stripe recurring billing?

The app we used during this process was "Bold Subscriptions", whom stated that there's no way to reconcile our existing subscribers if we change the payment processor.
