WhatsApp redirecting in iPhone not working properly

The code is working properly in android phone as it is redirecting to whatsapp , but in iphone it works very strange as it is not directly  redirecting to whatsapp number rather to whatsapp app.

You can use an app as a ready solution instead of managing custom code like this in the theme directly.

You can try http://apps.shopify.com/whatsapp-sharing which is having WhatsApp chat button and other more features along in Free plan.

in that case, it is required custom code to achieve that.

Remove white space from the phone number you have added in the anchor tag and then check.
