I am wanting to remove the filter options displayed on the left side of the website. How can I locate where the code is to edit this? Would it be a section or template? It is on the "collections" page of my site.
Hi, please send me your URL and I'll tell you where to find it and what to type in the search box.
First of all, you should be able to edit it using the theme customizer (just go to online store > theme > customize). But you can easily find that snippet of code in the collection liquid file (main-collection.liquid, maybe) or it should be rendered there as part of it (maybe facets.liquid). You'll want to look for the class name for the left-filter phrase. To find it, go to the online store, click on "Theme," then click on the three dots and select "Edit Code." From there, you can search for the class in the files and either comment it out or add "display: none." Just make sure you don't delete it entirely or save it somewhere.
Hi @businesssocial There are methods to do it, you don't need to do it by removing the code as may be later you will need that code, so the better way to do it is on collection page in theme customize there should be the option of filter, or may be in your theme setting you can find the option of filter based on the theme you are using and from there you can remove the filters.
If these both options are not available then you just add shopify's free app search & discovery and from there you can show or hide filters as according to your needs.
If you will unable to implement the same then I'm happy to do this for you, let me know. I can implement the changes so that this will work well for you.
Hopefully it will help you. If yes then Please don't forget hit Like and Mark it as solution!
