Why am I getting a 504 timeout error on my admin login?

Hello -

I have been trying to login to my admin area and I keep getting a 504 timeout error. I'm able to browse other sites without trouble - the only issue I'm having is with Shopify. Is there an outage?

Can’t login to my Shopify admin account - has been showing the same message for the past hour “504 Gateway Time-out” - even after clearing browser history and cookies, also tried logging in on two other devices, and the same error occurs. (Just for logging into Shopify admin account, the website URL still works for visitors)

Thank you both for reaching out about this. I have merged your two topics as you seem to be asking about the same issue and did so around the same time.

Earlier today, we received reports of 504 errors appearing for some merchants when they tried to access the Shopify admin. This problem lasted for around 30 minutes before our engineers were able to identify the issue and implement a resolution. The admin should now be fully accessible.

If either of you are still experiencing issues, please let me know here so we can troubleshoot further.
