Why are my online store pages not displaying content?

I ran into a problem in our online store today. All my pages don't show. There is not an error message, but the content is simply missing. So I only see the header and then the footer without any content in between. This only happens with default page templates, not with product pages or other page templates. Any idea what I need to do?
