Why are new orders not showing up in my transaction list?

Hello I got a few new orders on my Shopify store  and I noticed it’s not showing up in the transaction list but the payment went through and everything but I still don’t see it in the transaction list it’s been a few hours now

Are you referring to the Orders page in your admin? If so, have you checked if this order appears on the abandoned checkouts page?

 

There are instances where an order doesn't appear in your admin after a customer purchases something in your store and these happen when the order process, or more specifically the payment process, is interrupted. As soon as the customer pays for their order, there's typically a short loading time before the payment is completed and at this stage customers see a message telling them not to navigate away from the page. When that process is interrupted (e.g. the customer closes the window or their internet connection disconnects), the payment gateway is unable to communicate with our system and confirm that the payment is complete. When that is the case, an order isn't created and it usually ends up as an abandoned cart.

 

If this is what happened to the missing order, you can create a draft order to keep a record of the order and simply mark it as paid if you have confirmed and verified that the payment went through. If the payment did not go through, you can have the customer place an order again.
