Dear Shopify Community,
I am the owner of this humble shop: www.memento-mori-paris.com and I am facing a little problem affecting my sales.
Some of my products have 3 or 4 color variants but for some reason only two are showing.
The strange behavior is that the missing ones are very quickly displayed when I land on the product page but instantly disappear. If I select the picture of a product with a missing variant and refresh, then the respective color swatch appears.
You can try the "trick" in my shop, it works 100%
Obviously, I would like them to be displayed all the time.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Memento Mori Paris

Hi,
I took a look at your store, particularly the “Skull Hoodie - Valentine” product. It appears that the color options displayed are dependent on the size selected. For instance, when the default size XS is selected, only two colors are available, which suggests that the other color might be out of stock for that size. However, when switching to size S, all three color options are visible.
This leads me to believe that the issue might be related to inventory levels for certain colors in specific sizes. Could you please confirm if the missing color variants correspond to sizes that are currently out of stock? If this is not the case, and you’re still experiencing the issue, could you provide an example or further details of the problem?
Looking forward to helping you resolve this issue.

Hello Kate and thank you for your prompt answer, it has lead me on the right way.
Basically, I had to move from "Don't track inventory" to "track inventory" even though I have zero stock. So then I had to opt for "Continue selling when out of stock", then re-add the "XS" variants that I had deleted for some specific color variants, and mark them as "stop selling when out of stock" only for those specific XS variants in some colors.
Now the swatches appear correctly in all sizes and colors, and they are crossed out in XS for other color variants than black & beige.
Weird behavior though, I have double color swatch (beige) for the Valentine Tshirt, in French only. No idea why just this one and in French but for now that will do.
