I am trying to edit customer notifications following these instructions:
I don't see "Edit email" or "Enabled" buttons, what causes that?
Hey David,
You'd have to click into the template you want to edit (from the 'notifications' page, within the Shopify admin), and then there will be a button in the top right corner.
For example, if you click into the "order confirmation" template, it'll look like this:
By default, all of the templates/notifications will be enabled, and you can only disable a select few of them (if they have a checkmark box beside them).
If you're just looking to change the logo + colours of the buttons, then you can click "customize email templates" at the top of the 'notifications' settings page.
And if you're looking to change which email the notifications are sent from, then that option is right below the "customize email templates" button, within the "sender email" section.
Customizing the actual notification templates (beyond the logo and colours used for the buttons), is a coding-related task. You need to know what you're doing here, or else you could break things.
If you're looking for a way to easily edit notification templates (without coding), then you'd want to use an app like the OrderlyEmails app (https://apps.shopify.com/email-templates) to simplify this process for you.
Hope the above helps! 🙂
Cheers,
Stephen
