Why can't I find the option to add collections to my store?

Hello,

 

I have encountered a problem.

I want to add collections to my store but there is no such an option under the bar "Products"

Why this option is not available?

Hi, @kfotopoulos. Thank you for getting back to me with that information!

 

The Shopify Starter plan does not have the option to create or display product collections so this is expected behaviour for the plan you've selected. The Shopify Starter plan is for merchants that want to sell to their customers through social media platforms or messaging apps, with a simplified online store. You can read more about the Shopify Starter plan hereIf you need collections displayed on your online store I recommend upgrading to the Basic Shopify plan. You can find more information on the Basic Shopify plan here. You can also find the steps to update your plan here if you choose to do this.

Hi, @kfotopoulos. I'm happy to look into this with you! I just have a few questions to make sure I'm fully understanding what's happening on your end. I want to give you accurate advice.

  • Which plan are you currently using for your store? If you're unsure you can check by going to 'Settings' > 'Plan' in your Shopify admin and your Plan details will be explained there.
  • Did you previously see the 'Collections' option under the 'Products' tab or has it always been missing from your account?
  • Where are you currently working on your store? For example, are you using a desktop computer or are you using the Shopify mobile app? 

Once I have more information about this I can suggest more to resolve it. Looking forward to hearing back from you!

Hello and thank you for your response.

I use the starter plan. Collections option was always missing and I'm using both mobile and desktop version.
