Why can't I insert clickable links in my privacy policy?

This problem is driving me crazy.  In the Privacy Policy, there are two web addresses that take the viewer to Shopify Policies.  They are https://www.*****.  They are not Clickable.  Nor can I make them behave like that. 

I have gone through the text editing, highlighted and added link information.  But nothing changes.  Yes, I clicked SAVE.  But the verbage remains the same and there is no link.  I've done this before many times.  And there are places in the Policies that I can add links and they work as they are supposed to.  But these do NOT.

I've spent a long time on chat support with no results, probably not talking to the right people.  But does ANYONE have an idea what is going on?  It seems to me that to lock out a function selectively would be impossible but that seeks to be what is going on here.  Anyone?

Thanks for the reply and suggestions.  However, checking the CSS code is way above my paygrade.  If I start "tinkering" in there, I'm sure I'll make it worse.  And I cannot find the theme cache in the Shopify Admin Panel.  So I'm stuck.
