Hi, i hope you are well ,I am looking to do domain verification. I have saved the link on my site, and when I click on verify I receive a message saying "verification is impossible"
Hi, @Explorateur1.
Elias here with Shopify Support. Thank you for reaching out.
I understand you're trying to verify your domain with Facebook using the Meta-tag Verification method. Can you confirm where you've saved the link on your site? Also, did you remove the password protection for your online store before verifying?
If you're not sure where to place the link for the Meta-Tag Verification from Facebook, you can simply paste the line of code into your theme files ('Online store > Themes > Actions > Edit Code'). From there, look for the Layout folder and locate the file - theme.liquid. When pasting the code in an empty line or on a new line, it's important to paste the code after the opening <head> tag or before the closing </head> tag in the coding. Once that's done, remember to disable the password protection for your online store and you can try verifying your domain with Facebook again.
Here's an example from my test store:

Hello, @Explorateur1.
Thank you for following up!
While there isn't a way for me to verify the steps you've taken, as I don't have enough information at the moment, we also lack the ability to authenticate merchant accounts over the Community Forums. However, this is something that our Support team would be happy to assist you with this through live chat, email, or callback. Please visit the Shopify Help Center and log in to your account to create a support request.
I hope this points you in the right direction to get help with verifying your domain with Facebook. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to let me know!

I have been carrying out this procedure with Facebook support for days.
I copy the tag into the "theme.liquid" page. Save
But on the home page the tag loses the " />" characters and the closing tag becomes ">".
In this way Facebook does not recognize the tag.
Hey, @EdMoDecor.
Thank you for joining the thread.
The Facebook domain verification process has been updated since their new integration on Shopify, and it can be completed during the setup of Facebook Shop, Instagram Shopping, and Facebook Marketing so you might not need to add the meta tag to your theme's code. If you're using their Facebook and Instagram by Meta integration for Shopify, then you can learn more about that here: Verifying your domain with the Facebook and Instagram by Meta.
Let me know if this help you with verifying your domain. Or, if you have any other questions on this topic, then don't hesitate to let me know!

HI,
I'm sorry to contradict you, but after dozens of attempts, and assistance from Facebook support too, I had to proceed by configuring the key in the DNS.
There was no other way, my domain was not certified. Obviously I'm not talking about edmodecor.myshopify.com but about edmodecor.com
Hi, @EdMoDecor.
Thank you for following up with the additional context.
I understand that you're still having an issue with verifying your domain with Facebook. While I'm unable to access your account via the Shopify Community, we'd be happy to further assist you through live chats. Simply visit the Shopify Help Center and login to your account to create a support request.
That being said, I've taken a look at your store (edmodecor.com) and I was able to detect a Facebook pixel using Meta Pixel Helper. However, as we're unable to access merchant accounts, we'd recommend getting in touch with us via the Shopify Help Center where we can authenticate and access your account.
Have you considered using something like Shopify Inbox to interact with customers live on your store or provide an inbox for your customers?
