Why did the Press Enter to save alt text removed?
Before I could click through and change the alt text between multiple images pretty fast, just click enter, it'd save and then right click the arrow key to move to the next picture to update the alt text.
Now it involves scrolling up to the save button via TAB+SHIFT back clicking, and then TABing down to the line to update the next one and then back up and down again. Pressing enter does nothing on the alt tab line where before it used to save. Here's what it looks like currently:
Not sure why this change was made. You guys need to realize when it comes to data entry the mouse is evil. It takes one of your hands away from the needed keyboard space for typing. When you remove default functionality and move things away (like pressing F or scrolling to the far right to open the search bar on products, customers etc) it's an extra step that I have to do 1000's of times more than I did previously. (before the search bar was just already there. lol)
Also, "click image to set focal point" appeared as a default setting now and other options that were formally behind a button where you click and all this stuff would appear is now the default. (crop and transform, resize, draw, color background, replace background, click image to set focal point) they used to be behind the 'information' button or something.
Here's to a successful and more ux experience of awesome in the future. 🙂

"It’s likely that the “Press Enter to save alt text” feature was removed due to user feedback or to streamline the interface. Platforms often make updates to improve functionality or user experience. If you’re still facing issues, it’s worth checking the platform’s help or update notes for more details."
interesting. Yeah, it's still annoying to have to type, stop, grab the mouse, move it up to the button, click SAVE, move the mouse back down to the arrow, click over, click the text box, move hand back to the keyboard, and type in the new one.
it used to be, type, click enter, click right arrow on the keyboard.
if i use only the keyboard, which i show, it involves many more clicks using the shift+tab. *shrug* wouldn't be that big of an issue if I didn't have to do this thousands of times during the year.
I doubt people that develop these things use it in this way this many times over the course of their developing lives. That's a QA issue and an item of useability. or UX. I'm not sure how important it would be since I'm only one person. It just happens to be something that is done a lot and the removal of a simple action for a bunch of items on the screen I do not use ever was definitely an inconvenience. xD
