Hello.
I have been totally unable to fix, or find a reason, why Google results show our pages incorrectly. The store name on Google results doesn't match the store name in Shopify settings.
I am using the Dawn theme and haven't customised any code that (I am aware of) might alter how the results are scraped.
Below are some screenshots showing my settings page and the usual Google results where it says the company is "UK.COM" which isn't correct or helpful.
Some assistance from clever people required!
Thanks, Tristan
Hey @tristancliffe,
here's how you can edit the search results:
Within the shopify dashboard go to products and select whichever product you want to change the Google results for.
After that just scroll to the bottom of the product editor and change your "search engine listing".
Let me know if it helps.
You can't change the company name there though - that's site-wide and ought to be set in Settings.
Plus I don't want to change it on hundreds of items on by one!
It's frustrating when there's a discrepancy between the name in Shopify settings and what appears on Google. Have you tried reaching out to Google My Business support for assistance. They might be able to help resolve this issue or provide insights into why it's happening.
I haven't, but it's worth a shot. Thanks.
I have the same problem, There is a place in Shopify that contained the exact wording that I see in Google, I thought I had it, I changed the store name and still have the same issue, Did you ever solve your problem? if so How?
