Why does my domain still redirect to WordPress after moving to a new store?

Hi, ive made recently purchase a domain and it was used for my word press store but now ive moved my store over to shopify and everytime i try to access my store or view it it takes me back to word press . ive change the cname as well as my a record to shopify but still no luck ive even cleared my browser data and cache. 

 

please advise on how to solve this.

Hi,

 

Check DNS records are correctly updated

Make sure that you have properly set up your custom domain

Make sure you've removed any references to the domain in your WordPress settings.

DNS changes can take anywhere from a few hours to 48 hours to propagate fully across the internet

Thanks for posting in the Shopify Community. Just to confirm, is your domain still being hosted by WordPress (or another third-party host), or are you looking to transfer it to Shopify? 

 

If you're looking to connect your domain (and keep it hosted by a third-party provider) you'll want to ensure you're following the steps in this help document and that your DNS settings are correct. 

 

If you want to transfer your domain in order to be able to manage all your domain settings from your Shopify admin, you can follow the steps outlined here

 

If you've verified everything is correct on your end but you're still being redirected to your old WordPress site, please share the URL here and I'd be happy to look into this further!
