Hello, so I just connected a GoDaddy domain to my Shopify website and it looks like I did everything correctly (Set the A and CNAME records in my GoDaddy domain) since the domain connection appears to have been successful. All that's showing up is SSL pending, which from what I've read should resolve itself sometime in the next 48 hours. However, even though the URL for the domain correctly directs me to the Shopify site, when anyone else who I've sent the link to presses it it still sends them to my old website? Is this something that should resolve itself with time or is there something wrong here? The URL for the website is benandbart.com
To add on, someone else who accessed the site who was also in the USA (I'm based in the US) was able to go to the correct website when they pressed the link but two people based in the Philippines went to the wrong one, which leads me to the think that the problem is somehow arising from location.
Hi, @Francis_Yang.
Welcome to the Shopify Community!
Could you share more information if users from other locations are experiencing a redirect to your old website? Can you also advise if the customers located in the Philippines are receiving any error messages?
On my end, I searched the DNS Records for your domain which all point to Shopify. I was able to navigate to your website with no issues with it redirecting to another website.
You mentioned that the domain status has an SSL pending message next to it. The domain propagation process may take up to 48 hours and this may be why users in certain locations are unable to access the website. Once the domain is verified, it is listed in the THIRD-PARTY DOMAINS section of the Domains page with the status Connected. Please let us know if customers are still experiencing this issue.
While you're here, I'd love to share some tips to help establish brand visibility and presentation. Did you know you can upload a favicon image to your store? This icon can be found next to your store's name in the web browser bar. Uploading a favicon image can help strengthen brand visibility as customers will see this when navigating to your store. Check out our adding a favicon to your Shopify store resource to learn how.
