Why does my store's wishlist function keep redirecting to a reCAPTCHA page?

The wishlist function of my store seems to be malfunctioning. I've noticed that it works for only a few products, and for others, it redirects to a Google reCAPTCHA page. Upon completing the reCAPTCHA, it prompts again, creating a loop despite submitting it correctly.

Hi.

Judging for the picture, that wishlist seems to be a theme feature, so if it's malfunctioning, you should contact your theme developers.

But it doesn't have to be that. It's more like the wishlist is redirecting you to login, and there you can see the reCaptcha login protection, which is a Shopify feature. This is what could be malfunctioning.

So first I would recommend you disabling the reCaptcha in Shopify Settings, and try again. You can disable it in Shopify Admin > Online Store > Preferences > Spam Protection. Here's a link with more detailed information

Thank you for your reply
I have already disabled the Shopify reCaptcha protection, but the problem persists. I purchased a theme from Shopilaunch, but they did not provide any support, and it appears to be a bug on Shopilaunch's end.

Hi.

Sorry I just took some days off.

Do you mean you can still see the captcha protection after disabling both options (contact forms and login forms) in Shopify?

Yes, it's really the theme developers that should assist you in this case, specially because it's a paid theme and would need people who know its code.

Hello, I would highly recommend that you move a third-party app for the wishlist functionality. Not only will it help curb such functional issues, some of these apps also allow you use the wishlist data in your marketing campaigns.

Here's a report we have that showcases why wishlist-linked emails convert better than ecommerce benchmarks. And also gives you insights on how to use these emails based on your industry and product!

I hope this helps.
