Why does 'No products found' message appear in new collection on Dawn theme?

I just switched from the Debut to Dawn theme. When I now add new products to a collection and then preview them in the store the page is blank except for the message "No products found. Use fewer filters or remove all." I have not created these products or the menus any differently than the dozens of other products in the store. If I click "remove all" then the products show up, but then the next time I visit the page the same thing happens.

Hey, @lsynadinos! Welcome to Shopify Community!

The issue you're encountering is likely happening because of filters added to the menu item this collection is linked to. You can try editing the menu item and see if you have filters by following the steps below.

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Navigation.

  2. Under Menus, click the menu where that contains the menu item that the collection in question is linked to.

  3. Click Edit beside the menu item that the collection in question is linked to.

  4. If you want to display all the products within the collection, without filtering them, make sure the Filter collection with tags box is blank.

  5. Click Apply changes.

  6. Click Save or Save menu.

To give you some context around the filters associated with the menu items, you may leave them blank if you wish to display all the products that are within a collection. The filters are useful if you use one collection for all menu items and want to segregate the products in different menu items through filters. If you have already categorized your products in multiple separate collections and plan to link each collection to its own menu item, you don't need to use filters.
