Hello, I’m currently updating my store a bit and have it protected with a password. Last night I noticed that when I add an item to the cart, it won’t let me delete the item or add more than one (it keeps loading/spinning). Yesterday I added the new Sezzle Payments app and so I’m wondering if that’s what’s causing the problem. I also deleted the old Sezzle App that is not needed anymore (Sezzle site told me to remove that one after installing the new one).
I’ve tried removing/adding items on Incognito mode, on my laptop and it’s still the same problem.

We had heard some similar reports to this 'slow cart' issue across the platform earlier this week. Our team investigated, and found that there was an issue with the cart page with the following themes: Dawn, Studio, and Taste.
Since identifying the issue, I'm happy to say that our team has issued a fix, and that this slow cart page you're experiencing, if using one of these themes, should be functioning normally again.

In November 2022 I am using the Dawn theme and experiencing this slow add to cart issue.

When did you first notice that this was happening? Have you been able to replicate this issue? The more context you can share with me, the better!
Can you download a new version of Dawn from our Theme Store and see if the issue persists? You can use this link here to download a new theme. This is a first step to see if this issue is just within your particular version of the theme, or if it's impacting things on a larger scale.

Wondering if you are able to help me with the same issue.
I have had Dawn theme for a few months now, haven't launched as yet but have recently noticed a slow cart when adding products. This is a major issue with mobile as there is no signage letting customers know that it is uploading their file/product to the cart. Desktop, you can kind of tell as the cursor turns into an error logo. Are you able to help with this please?

Apologies for the delayed response, the cart was acting slow with both of my products, I did download an instafeed app and have since been in contact with them as per your advice - seems as though it is no longer slow! Will keep an eye on this 🙂

Happy to hear that the cart page appears to be back to normal. Sometimes 3rd party apps (like that instafeed app, for example) can cause some havoc for cart page speed so it's great you're chatting with them about things.
What sort of products are you selling? I saw you mentioned that you have two products so I'm curious to know about them! Found then lock! It was just blending into the background of the image on the page a little bit too much for me to see easily so thanks for pointing me in the right direction! No worries about DMing me your storefront password - makes loads of sense to do that so you don't have to worry about other folks finding it. Your store looks awesome for someone prepping to launch! You have all of the pages you want to have set up, like a shipping policy page and 'About Us' page, so you're already well on your way to having an awesome business! Your images look awesome, and the website flows very well! I also really love the small story you included on your about us page. ❤️
Have you started working on your Search Engine Optimization (SEO) at all? This is the process of using things like keywords and metafields to rank higher on search engines like Google's search results! Google crawls your site naturally, but you can help improve your ranking for free by using keywords in your descriptions or titles. If you haven't looked into SEO yet, you should check out this resource here, as it provides a lot of guidance on how to improve things! I'm happy to chat more with you on this topic!
Have you thought about marketing, as well? I noticed you have a TikTok and Instagram account built for your business, which is awesome, so it looks like you're ready to tackle social media marketing! Have you thought about opening a twitter account for your business, too? A twitter account would allow you to have quick, easy communications with your customers if they have questions or concerns about some of their orders.

The about us story is a personal one, was probably my favourite page to create!
No, I actually haven't looked into SEO as yet and that is definitely something I would need to look into. I am very new to all of this so thank you for sending over the link (will look into it!) I have seen a section in the 'pages' section, so I presume that is where you do your SEO for each page/product?
In terms of marketing, I am happy with Tiktok/Instagram for now, but will definitely consider this once I have launched.

For your pages, you can look at things like 'metatags' to add hidden keywords to your shop's pages that Search Engines use to rank your pages. Using keywords (like the material you use or the colour of the product) in the product title and descriptions can help, as well! There is a high possibility of the issue in the code part of your store’s cart page. But don’t worry, it can be fixed. The reason for malfunctioning can be many. To know the exact reason, you can give us your store’s collaborator access and we shall investigate it further.
Adding Sezzle might be one of the reasons why things are going not according to the planned approach. But for a better understanding, we would be needing your store’s collaborator’s access.
