Hey there, @StoreAmaltheia. Thanks for reaching out to the Shopify Community with your Domain situation. My name is Imogen. It's great to meet you. 😁

Before I'm able to dive in and really dig into a resolution for you, I have a few questions I'd like to ask so I can have some more context:

  • Is this a domain that you've purchased through Shopify? Or, is it a domain that is hosted by a third party, such as GoDaddy?
  • Are you trying to connect this domain to your store? Or, are you trying to transfer this domain to your Shopify Store?
  • Are you trying to connect one domain, or several?
  • Can you login in to your admin, and go to 'Settings > Domains' and look to see if your domain is visible there? If it is, can you let me know if you're seeing any messaging there indicating an error?

Please, get back to me when you can with answers to my questions. I'll keep my eyes peeled for your reply!

Hey again, @StoreAmaltheia. Thanks for following up with me.

I appreciate you sharing some more information about your situation with me. I have a few more questions I'm hoping you can answer for me:

  • Is this a domain that you've purchased through Shopify? Or, is it a domain that is hosted by a third party, such as GoDaddy?
  • Are you trying to connect this domain to your store? Or, are you trying to transfer this domain to your Shopify Store?

Based on the information you've provided me, it sounds like you're largely trying to connect several third party domains. We have a resource here on how to connect these third party domains to your store. Have you had the chance to refer to this document for assistance?

Hi there, @sanchopanso. Thanks for following up on this thread!

Can you provide me with some more context around the issue you're having? Are you trying to connect your third party domain to your Shopify store, but it's not working as expected? Are you seeing any error messages while trying to get things connected?

Please, follow up with me here when you can. I'll keep an eye out for your reply!

Hey again, @sanchopanso. Thanks for following up with me with that detailed information.

These are issues that have been noticed by our system in relation to your third party domain's set up. It indicates that you have issues with your A record, your CAA record, and your nameserver record. These are all settings housed within your third party domain's DNS settings, and will need to be adjusted via your account with your third party domain provider. You will likely just need to adjust the information in the A Record to match the info provided in the message, and you will need to ensure that your CAA record, and your nameserver record, match what is required by Shopify.

In order to ensure that the information you're adding to your domain's DNS settings are accurate, please refer to this document for the information you need to enter.

Are you starting a new business? I'm curious to learn more about this 'stickyball' - it sounds really interesting! Is this the product you're selling?

Hi, @Verere!
Thanks for sharing your concern in this thread, I’d be happy to help.

Firstly, congratulations on starting your shop and purchasing a domain! This is an important step that promotes credibility and provides your customers with an easy and direct way to access your store online. However, I understand that you are experiencing issues with your domain at the moment.

After purchasing your domain, you will need to verify your email address to complete the domain registration process. Please check your email account for several emails from Shopify that require your review. If you are unable to locate the email, please check your spam folder.

Additionally, I recommend taking a moment to reset your DNS settings to the default configuration. This action will delete all your records except the A record and CNAME record, which will be reset to point to Shopify.

Since it seems like you're still setting up your store, I suggest viewing The General Checklist as it’s great tool that will ensure that you have your Shopify store all set up.  You can go through the check list and be confident that you have a finished product, that includes having your media, shipping and check out all in working order.

Let me know how it goes!
