Why is my HP P1100w printer missing the first letter on each line?

Looking hopefully a solution with my one printer in our office....

I recently started a new part time job and bought my laptop and HP P1100w printer to streamline the work I am doing. My boss has a HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e that he does his printing via a wireless connection to the printer. All of that works very well.

BUT.....

When I printout a purchased shipping label on my printer for some dang reason it is leaving off the first letter of each line on the label. I have tried all of the usual "try this" things that I could think of with no change in the issue.

Searching online via google this seems to be something that shows up for a number of people.

So,  I hope that someone out there has a fix for this very frustrating issue.
