Why is my site's checkout not working and how can I fix it?

Hey!

Hoping someone can help me in identifying the problem with a sites checkout... Our checkout is glitching and customers are unable to checkout, they'll add items to their cart and then cart will remain empty.

This has been happening for 2 months now.. Shopify directed us to the app developers who directed us to the theme developers.. No one could see any issues with the code or themes.. Where do we go next to get this resolved? We are losing sales on the daily.. Some customers will email me but others just leave the site.
